SPPS Selection Process
 
A request for letters expressing interest in being a participant in Minnesota Principals’ Academy, Twin Cities Cohort will be announced in Superintendent’s Bulletin. The deadline for accepting letters will be within two weeks of the announcement.  

Under the direction of the Chief of Schools, a committee comprised of the Chief Academic Officer along with the Executive Directors, and POSA for Leadership Development will select participants.

The committee will select and recruit qualified participants to create a cohort with representation from various AYP levels, representation from both secondary and elementary schools, and a range of levels of experience. 

Final selection will be based on the committee’s determination of the leader’s ability to use the knowledge and skills learned at the Institute to bring about increased student achievement at their current and future site.
